Psalm 23; Mark 6:30-34
Jesus is the good shepherd. It does not deal with us as if we are animals, but he deals with us as disciples whom he wants to follow him. As we follow him, he teaches, and it is our place to learn, so that we do not become a sheep that follows anyone who disguises himself as the good shepherd.

There is no denying the fact that Jesus loves and cares for us, in ways we might not be able to comprehend. His compassion for humanity is indescribable. His love for was not to make us vulnerable, but to teach us how we ought to live, and to make us know how important we are to him.
Coming to the good shepherd – Jesus, just to get material things can be very dangerous, because anybody can give us a lot of material things claiming to be Jesus, and we would be easily led astray. That is why the good shepherd does not just supply our needs but He teaches.

When Jesus saw the crowd that followed him to the other side of the shore; where he wanted to go and rest with his disciples, he had compassion on them and he did not just give them material things. The Bible says that He taught them many things.
As we follow Jesus, we must be ready and willing to learn. He knew this was very important, that was why, when He was leaving the earth, he sent the Holy Spirit; the great teacher; the one that will lead us into the knowledge of all truth, to leave inside of us.

We should make use of every opportunity we have to learn from Jesus. We should read his word, attend Bible study classes, and always pray for the Holy Spirit to help us understand, and to guide us so that we do not fall prey to wolves in sheep‘s clothing.
I pray that God will continue to direct us and teach us all we need to know, and that the Holy Spirit will give us understanding, so that we will always have reasons to say that; “we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” I pray in Jesus name. Amen. God bless you.
