Psalm 136:1-16; Mark 3:1-6
Have you ever been in love? I know that you know that no matter the love we have gotten from any man or woman, none of it can be compared to the love God has for us. To put it in Nigerian parlance; “God love us die!” And it is even true literally. God loves us so much that He had to send God the Son to come and die for us.

Psalm 136 tells us of the never-ending story of God‘s love. His love is endless and it never fails. Do you know how your life would have been without the love of God? Sometimes we fail to see His love in our lives because the cares and troubles of this world seems to have blinded us. Beloved if you can read this; YOU ARE LOVED.

The love God has for us made him break a lot of protocols. Consider the miracle of creation, redemption and sanctification. And now consider all that he has seen us through in life even when certain things did not lineup. “God love us die!”
Take a look at Mark 3:1-6 when Jesus out of love healed a man’s hand on the Sabbath. He broke protocol that offended a lot of people in authority. He is still doing the same today.

And lest we forget, the greatest protocol broken because of love was when Jesus took our place on the cross. How can a king die for his subjects? Not even loyal subjects, but sinful and stubborn ones. He didn’t stop at that; He broke the protocol of death; that is he conquered death and rose again. This gives us hope of eternal life. What a protocol breaker. What love!

Because of this I call on everyone to give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, His faithful love endures forever. And I pray that God will give us the grace to carry out our duty of thanking, praising, serving and obeying Him because of who He is and his love for us. Amen. God bless you.
