POSITIVE CHANGES IN CHRISTIANITY

Right from the beginning, Christianity was known for its positive influence on life and humanity. This is simply because Christianity was and still is all about Jesus Christ who is life. Without Him there will be no life, for He was with the Father (Creator) when all things were created. And without Him was not anything made that was made.

After man sinned and fell short of God’s glory, God carried out His redemption plan for man by sending Jesus Christ to come and die in place of man. This work of redemption, brought man “back to life;” the original life that God intended for man to live.

While Jesus was on earth, men followed Him. He taught them and trained them to teach others. Those that followed Him were later called Christians because they were acting like Christ. Their life and teachings affect the world positively, and till this day, it still does. This is simply because it was all about Jesus Christ.

Along the line, Christians became divided. A lot of teachings were formulated by men based on what they knew and felt. Some were correct and some were not. Humans, thinking that they are rational beings, started rationalizing everything. Others took it to the other extreme and started “spiritualizing” everything. Now we are faced with a lot of uncertainties.

Over the years, a lot seemed to have gone wrong, but good enough, the number of Christians did not decrease. A lot of strange practices were seen displayed in churches in the name of worshipping God. A lot of these practices were rooted in culture and traditions. Others were thought of as being drawn from the Bible.

It is still happening, but the good news is that a lot of Christians have woken up. There is a shift in the atmosphere. Things are changing for the better. If you are sensitive you will see it. Just keep your eyes open to the scriptures and what is happening in our churches. You will discover that in spite the fact that a lot of negative things have been spoken about the church, things are taking a turn for the better.

You might be asking what exactly these changes are, I might not be able list them now, but it cuts across mode of worship, coming back to Christ-centered teachings, love and understanding among Christians, members becoming aware of things that were once hidden from them due to not being able to study the scriptures on their own. etc.

Just look around and keep praying, you will discover what I’m trying to write about.

Remain forever blessed and highly favored
