2nd Kings 4:8-17; Luke 10:38-42
I want to remind us, and also make it as a declaration that: your work of kindness will open a way for you in Jesus name. Amen. In 2nd Kings 4:8-17, we saw how the kindness of the Woman from Shunem, opened a way of marital fruitfulness for her. So I speak again: for every genuine act of kindness you have shown to me, my ministry, the church and to any other person out there, may doors of fruitfulness, promotion, favour, establishment and blessings be opened for you in Jesus name. Amen.

Have you discovered that due to certain occurrences in life, people are no longer exhibiting kindness the way it used to be? There is this complain that their acts of kindness had been, or will be used against them; that they are afraid to give gifts and money because it might be used for diabolical activities that will either harm or exploit them. Some also complain that they no longer give to Men of God as they used to because, some are ungrateful and some are fake.

Inasmuch as I sympathize with these people and their complaints, I want us to know that being kind, or the acts of kindness is an ability; a gift that comes from God (1st Corinthians 12:28). So we should spend time with God and not get carried away by exhibiting our gifts. By spending time with The Giver of the gifts, He will guide us on how to show kindness and also endure everything that comes with being kind. We can take cue from the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42. We should not be so busy doing things for Jesus that we are not spending time with Him.

Indeed it pays to be kind. But as we exhibit kindness, we should be careful not to do it selfishly, that is, we should be careful not to show kindness just because we want to get something out of it. The Shunammite woman never did it that way. She was kind because she saw and sensed a need. God saw the need of a Saviour for mankind, so He gave Jesus. Jesus saw the need of a guide and comforter, so He sent the Holy Spirit to come and live inside of us.

I pray that God will open our eyes to the needs of his servants, the church, and people around us. I pray that He will give us the grace to be kind by meeting such needs cheerfully with the ability and resources He has given us. In Jesus name. Amen. God bless you .
This is great Etubom.
